Best Paper / Graduate Student Awards

Dr. Lie and his students have won 20 Best Graduate Student Paper Awards and Best Paper Awards in international conferences for 1994, 1995, 2006, 2008 (twice), 2010 (thrice), 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019 (twice), 2020 and also 2021 (twice), and the biannual “Texas Tech University Outstanding Thesis/Dissertation Awards; 1st Place” twice in 2016 and 2020, respectively. Some of them are listed below.  Dr. Lie’s group also published 3 “Most Downloaded Top 100 Papers” in IEEE Xplore  among millions of publications in Sept. 2012, June 2012, and Sept. 2009 (ranked #80, #88, and #21 for these 3 months, respectively).
